A busy few days lie ahead of David Moyes as he has to consider the market and the upcoming game against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Toffees have a number of areas that could really do with being bolstered before the window shuts at 7pm on Monday.
One of those positions for Everton remains at right-back, with the Blues unable to add a new right-back at all this season.

According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton are still there despite Juventus’ best efforts in the pursuit of Norton-Cuffy.
The defender is currently playing his football over in Serie A with Genoa, but a return to England could appeal to him.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed Inter are in advanced talks with Norton-Cuffy, though.
Clearly, Everton are prioritising a new right-back signing as they continue to play Jake O’Brien out of position at full-back.
It is now up to the Blues to do all they can and beat Inter to the signing of the 22-year-old.
Everton could make a major statement in hijacking Inter’s move for Norton-Cuffy
The winter market has been incredibly quiet for a lot of Premier League sides and Everton are certainly one of them.
However, the Toffees now have an opportunity to make a real statement in the market by making a late play for Norton-Cuffy.
Romano’s update would suggest that Inter are now closing in on a deal to sign the defender, but Everton could make a big splash by hijacking that deal.
It is believed Genoa want £17m to sell Norton-Cuffy, but they would be open to an initial loan with the obligation to buy.
Everton News columnist Alan Myers believes the Friedkins are prioritising the summer window at Everton.
By securing Norton-Cuffy on an initial loan, that would allow the club to kick the finances down the road to the next PSR window.
