On Thursday, TuttoSport raised doubts over Juventus’ deal with Tottenham for Randal Kolo Muani.
The Turin newspaper were confident about Spurs accepting a loan termination. But Thomas Frank was proving to be a hindrance, as he didn’t want to change the team’s attacking department too much this month.
Now, more is emerging from TuttoSport about the 27-year-old. It seems like Juve are considering their options with the Tottenham player, having also failed to sign him in the summer.
The situation is described as ‘Murphy’s Law in its purest form’. Anything that could have gone wrong has actually gone wrong for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
This is because Kolo Muani started in Spurs’ 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League. Not just that, he impressed and scored. It was his third goal in the Champions League campaign, and Frank has a fair argument to make for keeping him.
Just when Juve thought they had a good chance, the Frenchman’s performance help back up Frank’s argument that he simply can’t lose the player.
For the Bianconeri, this is the worst time for Kolo Muani to impress for Spurs.
The Turin newspaper state Tottenham expressed willingness about letting him go earlier this week. This had given hope to the Italian side and even the player himself, who is keen on a transfer. They were considering offering Paris Saint-Germain a loan deal which is similar to what the London club have in place.
Juve are exploring alternatives and pessimism is growing in Turin about a possible deal for Kolo Muani. However, they haven’t give up just yet and at least a couple of more efforts are likely.
Kolo Muani’s camp may have to agitate if they want Tottenham to agree an exit.
