'I would say': David Moyes shares how 'likely' Everton are to make a late signing before…

The clock is really ticking down on Everton ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday evening.

No movement has been made by Everton in terms of arrivals this month and they now have just three days to get their business wrapped up.

David Moyes will be well aware of what the club need in the market, but the winter window is proving as difficult as ever to operate in.

Earlier in the month, Moyes admitted Everton may not make a signing in the market and that is certainly proving a real possibility.

What should be Everton’s top priority before the deadline on Monday? 😬

It will frustrate many on Merseyside in seeing the club sit on their hands this month given the struggles this squad has experienced already in the Premier League.

With movement now needed urgently to get any late deals over the line, the 62-year-old manager has issued his expectations for the final days.

Whether David Moyes expects Everton to make late signings

Late signings cannot be ruled out as Everton are actively pursuing Brooke Norton-Cuffy as a right-back option.

Speaking to the media at Finch Farm on Friday, Moyes had the following message to share on any possible late deals for the Blues.

“I’d like to say we’re out there looking, which I think I’ve said in every press conference,” he said.

“We’re certainly looking. It’s not like we’re shying away from it. I would say it’s probably less likely than likely.”

Everton have also showed an interest on Jhon Duran, with a number of Premier League clubs on alert over the Colombian striker.

With so little time remaining, it now feels as if Everton are in the land of late opportunities when it comes to potential signings being made.

Moyes must be frustrated with lack of Everton signings

This transfer window felt like a real opportunity for Everton to push on from what they were able to do over the summer.

Having suffered so many injuries over the last two months and seeing results clearly decline, it must be baffling to Moyes that there’s been no urgency shown in the market.

Everton will not make any panic buys and that is certainly the correct way to approach the winter window.

However, the recruitment team knew exactly what was needed on the back of the summer and it seems as if there was no clear target(s) being attacked from the turn of the year.
