Jhon Duran could yet return to the Premier League this winter as Everton circle.
The Colombian finds himself at a crossroads just 12 months after leaving Aston Villa for Al-Nassr in a £64m move, as a loan to Fenerbahce turns sour.
Duran was just sent back to Al-Nassr in order to sort out his future amid reports Everton and Juventus are hoping to sign the South American.
Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update after Juventus were offered the chance to sign Jhon Duran – and it leaves the door open to Everton.

Juventus yet to act as Jhon Duran finds himself in limbo
Speaking on YouTube, the reliable journalist revealed that Juventus “are not moving forward” with the opportunity to sign the Colombia international – which presumably gives Everton a chance to swoop in.
Romano said: “Regarding Fenerbahce, many Turkish colleagues have talked about this Fenerbahce mission, in Italy as well, to sell Duran to Juventus.

“Duran has been offered to Juve. I think we were the first in the world to tell you that Duran could leave – during this transfer window nobody was talking about him at all… (but) as of today, Juve are not moving forward. If something changes, we’ll update you.”
The man born in Zaragoza was a star during his time in English football with Aston Villa, even netting a Goal of the Month winner against Everton and lobbing Manuel Neuer in the UEFA Champions League.
Those were two of 20 goals scored by Duran in 78 appearances for Aston Villa – an impressive return considering most of these appearances came as a substitute.
Everton have to push hard for Jhon Duran before 5pm transfer deadline on Monday
Market opportunities tend to open up at the end of transfer windows, and this is arguably one of the biggest opportunities Everton have had in recent years to land a top talent.
As aforesaid, Al-Nassr spent £64m on Duran as recently as January 2025 as he began to develop into one of the most effective strikers in Europe.

It seems the lack of high-level competition in Saudi Arabia and Turkey has somewhat stunted his development and caused him to stagnate, but at the age of just 22, he can easily rediscover his form should a return to England materialise with Everton.
Hopefully, The Friedkin Group do all they can to try and make this deal happen before the 5pm deadline on Monday.
