Report: Man Utd consider transfer move for England U21 wonderkid Jadon Sancho said has the'world at his feet'

Manchester United might not be completely out of the running to make a signing before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

Despite there being a handful of positions that could do with some strengthening, Manchester United seems perfectly happy to go January signingless.

We already know United won’t be signing a new midfielder, with the favoured options not available until the summer.

However, there was always a feeling that United would move for the right market opportunity. For example, United have wanted a new winger, but missed out on Antoine Semenyo.

But with Patrick Dorgu now out injured, United could be considering a swoop for a Premier League youngster.

Manchester United like Tyrique George as Chelsea exit imminent

We are not expecting any massive money to be spent at Old Trafford between now and Monday, but interest in Tyrique George might be moved up as a market opportunity emerges.

The Chelsea wonderkid has seen his pathway blocked by the constant revolving door nature of the Blues’ recruitment and is now seeking an exit.

According to the Daily Mail, George is one of several options being discussed by United to bolster the winger positions.

A move for the 19-year-old would not break the bank, considering Fulham almost signed him for £22m in the summer, a value which has dropped further.

This comes as the teenager’s future is expected to be resolved this month, according to The Telegraph, which has reported that George is now favouring an exit as he searches for more first-team football.

Chelsea have received interest from the Premier League and Europe, with a belief that offers will present themselves prior to the window closing.

Chelsea graduates rarely get the chance to shine at Stamford Bridge, but many go on to have top careers in the Premier League, with George potentially the next one up. So, United should be serious about considering adding him this month.

Jadon Sancho once tipped George for greatness

There is no denying that George, as an England U21 talent, is worth signing to add depth to the left-wing position for United.

But it wouldn’t just be a signing for the sake of it, with Jadon Sancho clearly wowed by George during his time at Chelsea.

Taking to his X last season, Sancho tweeted to heap praise on his then young teammate.

“We definitely recreating this picture! Tyrique has the world at his feet, top guy and such a humble human being. Deserves every bit of success coming his way! See you at training on Monday bro”.

While we might not want to take Sancho’s judgment as gospel, he is a once-talented footballer hailing a youngster, and so it shows George has the ability at the very least.

For around £20m, United cannot complain, and he would be an excellent option for Carrick.
