Everton already own a number of England internationals.
David Moyes has as many as five England players at the Hill Dickinson Stadium right now, in Jordan Pickford, James Tarkowski, Michael Keane, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jack Grealish.
Everton could soon sign another as TEAMtalk say Angel Gomes has been offered to the Toffees – a story which is sure to excite his close friend James Garner.

Everton could reunite James Garner with his “closest mate” in Angel Gomes
There is competition to sign the England international, with Wolves, Sunderland and West Ham also in contention to land the 25-year-old.
However, Everton may have an advantage over others, thanks to the chemistry between Gomes and Garner.
The Everton No.37 spoke in January 2024 about his friendship with the Marseille maestro. The Liverpool Echo quote him as saying: “Angel is my closest mate.
“He and I have been mates since we first met, we speak all the time… he just wants to play football and hasn’t lost track of that.

“I probably spoke to him (about joining Everton), I can’t quite remember, but we speak all the time. He is someone I would go to for advice because he’s someone who is mature and knows quite a lot.”
The pair played together at Manchester United and also for the England U21 side – sharing a pitch on 43 occasions while combining to score two goals.
Contract extension might have come at the perfect time for Everton to convince Angel Gomes
As you may have already heard, Garner recently signed a new contract at Everton which runs until July 2030.
That in itself was fantastic news for the Toffees given how impressive the 24-year-old has been this season, rubbing shoulders with Bruno Fernandes in terms of chance creation.

However, it could now also help Everton land Gomes, as the Marseille No.8 knows his close pal has committed himself to the Toffees for the long-term, and that there is little danger of him suddenly leaving should he decide to join his friend on Merseyside.
Hopefully, Everton can reunite the duo, as they have the potential to create a formidable partnership in midfield under Moyes.
