David Moyes give update on Grealish's injury

David Moyes has confirmed that it's likely that Jack Grealish could be out for the rest of the season.

The loanee, who won Premier League Player of the Month for August has been a standout for the Blues.

Grealish scored crucial winners against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, while also registering six assists.

When speaking to the media Moyes mentioned how long the winger could be out for and how much of a miss he'll be for Everton.

"We believe he's probably going to need surgery , but that's still not absolutely confirmed, but it probably rules him out for the rest of the season."

"It's really disappointing for the player, and the club, and all of us here because he's such an important part. He's a big character, big experience for us and we'll miss him. He's done a lot of really good stuff for us."

Thierno Barry has scored in back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The Frenchman scored in the 1-0 victory at Villa Park, and in the 1-1 draw against Leeds United.

Barry, who initially struggled when he first joined the club, has found himself to be Everton's starting striker.

Despite this Moyes still wants more from the 23-year-old.

"He has to keep progressing, but how he's playing at the minute moment wouldn't be enough to satisfy me.

He needs to keep improving, but he has stepped up and score a lot of important goals for us. Goals that won us games at Aston Villa, for example, and a goal last week that got us a point."

With the January Transfer Window closing in a couple of days, Moyes has suggested that any possible business is now unlikely to happen.

"I'd like to say we're out there looking, we're certainly looking. We're not shying away from it, but I'd probably say it's less likely than likely."

Harrison Armstrong could potentially go back on loan to Preston North End, and Moyes has mentioned that he's in constant dialogue with the club regarding Armstrong's future.

"We won't make a decision until certainly after Brighton. I'm on the phone in regular contact with Peter Ridsdale and Paul Heckingbottom at Preston.

"We'll wait and see how things go but he's not looked out of place in the Premier League. That's the biggest compliment I could give Harrison, that's for sure."
