Toby Collyer has completed a loan switch from Manchester United to Championship outfit Hull City.
Last season, Toby Collyer got plenty of senior football at Manchester United. His standout performance came in the Europa League against Rangers as he partnered the experienced Casemiro in midfield.
The United academy graduate fell down the pecking order in the summer, even though no new midfielders were signed after Christian Eriksen’s departure.
Collyer was loaned out to West Brom at the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign, but his spell was interrupted by injury setbacks. United decided to recall the youngster from the loan earlier this month.

Injured when he returned to Old Trafford, Collyer has not been in any recent matchday squads. He will leave United again until the end of the season.

Hull City complete loan deal for Man Utd’s Toby Collyer
Hull City have been linked with a loan move for Collyer since the summer, but he opted to join West Brom instead.
It was quickly realised that West Brom was not the best environment for the 22-year-old to continue his development, so United will hope Collyer has better luck at Hull City.

The United loanee has spoken to Hull City’s official website about the move, stressing that he is looking forward to the atmosphere from the fans as well as the challenges he will face in the Championship.
“It’s been a while coming,” Collyer said.
“I know there was interest and a possibility in the summer, but now I’m really happy to have been able to make it happen in this window.
“The style of play the manager likes to bring to his players is really good for me – high energy, high output.
“I would say I’m an intelligent player and I always like to improve. Hard work is fundamental – otherwise, you won’t get to where you want to get to.
“The Championship is different to the Premier League – it’s hectic but I like it. You face challenges every day in training and in matches and it’s a great league to get better.
“My target was to get back out and play as many minutes as possible in a different environment and challenge myself.
“I’m looking forward to the atmosphere, seeing the fans and playing with my new teammates. I’ll always work hard for the badge and for the fans.”
United will be keeping a close eye on Collyer for the remainder of the season, hopeful that it ends successfully, unlike his spell at West Brom.
Hull City are currently fourth in the Championship, so they stand a very good chance of qualifying for the play-offs.

Toby Collyer stats at Man Utd and West Brom
Collyer has made 13 senior appearances for United after coming through the youth ranks.
The young midfielder has yet to record a goal contribution – goal or assist – in a United shirt.
Although Collyer played fewer games for West Brom (12) on loan, he did record one assist during his time on loan, earlier this season.
Collyer will hope to make a greater impact at Hull City for the remainder of the season.
