Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven has been discussing his stint with the Red Devils.
It is one year since Ayden Heaven completed his transfer from Arsenal to Manchester United, joining for a fee of just £1 million.
The deal already looks like a total steal, with Heaven proving his credentials for the first team and even winning the club’s Player of the Month Award for December.
While he has dropped out of the starting line-up for the past two games, Heaven is a big part of Manchester United’s future plans.
In a new interview with United’s official podcast, Heaven has been talking about his experience at the club to date.

Ayden Heaven has settled quickly
Ayden Heaven left London for Manchester last January and he has taken it all in his stride. The defender says he has not found the adaptation to be fairly straightforward.
Heaven explained the key to his success: “Working hard in training… I try to work as hard as I can.”

“When I’ve come in, I feel like I’ve taken my chances as well, also the trust from the manager that plays me, that helps as well.”
Heaven made his debut under Ruben Amorim, also playing under Darren Fletcher and as a substitute under Michael Carrick in the Manchester Derby.
He was asked about how he would improve his game, and if there was anything he would try to ‘steal’ from Harry Maguire‘s game, who appeared alongside him on the podcast.
Heaven responded with certainty, commenting: “Definitely, attacking set pieces, scoring from the corners and crosses.”
The youngster has not scored a goal for Manchester United in a competitive game. He did net on the club’s post-season tour in 2025, but is awaiting his first official goal.
Maguire was asked if there was anything he would take from Heaven’s game, he said: “I’d steal his left foot. I’d love to have his left foot alongside my right. It’d make the game a lot easier.”

Ayden Heaven must now be patient
Ayden Heaven proved his quality for Manchester United during a tough stretch for the club’s defenders with injuries.
Harry Maguire’s return to fitness and Lisandro Martinez hitting form has made Heaven’s task more complicated, while Matthijs de Ligt is also set to return from injury soon.
Leny Yoro is in the same position as Heaven, and they must stay ready for when they are called upon.
“Personally I want to try and get into the team, it’s difficult at the moment’, Heaven added.
United have shifted to two centre-backs after playing with three under Ruben Amorim, and there are only 15 games remaining.
The players must band together and accept the limited game time to go around, to accomplish the goal of earning Champions League qualification for next season, in turn unlocking opportunities for squad rotation.
