Soler could miss rest of season after "bad" injury: Iraola

The young Argentine started his second game of the season away at Newcastle in the FA Cup earlier in January, but he picked up an injury in the first training session after that game.

Soler’s only other start was against Brentford in August in the League Cup, before he went to the U20 World Cup, captaining his country to the final, where they were beaten in the final by Morocco.

But since he returned from that competition in October, Soler has not had too many minutes in the Cherries team.

And he is now set to miss most, if not all, of the remainder of the campaign.

Iraola told the Daily Echo that it was a “bad” injury.

“Julio is now, assessing him, his injury is bad in the sense that he's not having surgery, I think, but they were analysing because it's a big muscle injury and I think it will take more time,” he said.

“I think it's quite a big injury and I think he will be out considerable amount of time.

“I think it's not as bad to have surgery, but he will be out most of the season. Because now we are talking, we only have less than four months, I think, of the season. So he’s going to be out.”
