Bryan Mbeumo is delivering at a high level
Manchester United paid £65 million to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. And unlike the similar investment in Rasmus Hojlund in 2023, there are absolutely no doubts over his quality.
Mbeumo was a proven Premier League performer who has raised his levels since signing for United.
He has scored in big games against City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham and he is United’s leading goalscorer.

Bryan Mbeumo’s value
Manchester United’s £65 million spend on Bryan Mbeumo looks extraordinarily good value based on what we have seen so far.
At 26-years-old, Mbeumo’s best years are ahead, with United snapping him up at the perfect time.
United would consider him untouchable if there was an approach from another top club. He is our special player to enjoy for the foreseeable future.
But let’s say theoretically that Mbeumo demanded a transfer away this summer. United would be able to slap a £100 million price tag on his head.
Mbeumo is always fit, regularly delivers goals and attacking threat, and produces with efficiency in big matches. He has the temperament to succeed at Old Trafford, where so many have failed.
How much would it cost United to find another Mbeumo?
United’s fee will end up looking like a bargain, with the Mbeumo deal already the envy of the Premier League.
