Teenage defender Adam Aznou is attracting interest in the closing days of the January transfer window and could yet be allowed to leave Everton on loan.
The 19-year-old has struggled for opportunities since arriving from Bayern Munich last summer in a deal worth around £9m. He is yet to play a minute in the Premier League and despite being available through a New Year selection crisis his only exposure to the first team was as a late substitution in the FA Cup third-round defeat to Sunderland.
Aznou had an immediate impact in that match, injecting energy into a tired performance and winning the late penalty that James Garner converted to carry the match into extra-time. Everton lost the penalty shoot-out that followed.

That opportunity at Hill Dickinson Stadium came on the left wing, however, and Blues boss David Moyes still sees the player as primarily a left back.
The injury suffered by first-choice left winger Jack Grealish, who looks likely to miss the rest of the season, has held Moyes back from making a decision on Aznou’s immediate future so far, but while he is reluctant to weaken his squad, he is also keen to be pragmatic to help players it seems are unlikely to get opportunities over the coming months.
Moyes explained: “There's opportunities for him to go and we'll decide that in the next few days.
“I'm not sure that he would get the opportunities in the position we bought him to play, so I need to think how I can do it. At the moment we're not really mad to let too many people go because our squad isn't big enough.
“But sometimes players want to go and play and I'm all for that if that's the case.”
Separately, Everton academy forward George Morgan could be set for his first taste of senior football - in France.
The highly-rated 19-year-old, a Wales youth international, is the subject of talks between the Blues and AS Cannes, who are also owned by The Friedkin Group, over a loan deal for the second half of the season.
