Michael Carrick issues big Bruno Fernande transfer update to Manchester United fans

Man United boss Michael Carrick has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes’ future will be decided at the end of the season amid all the speculation that the Portuguese superstar may decide to depart Old Trafford and seek a fresh challenge in the game.

Fernandes has become of the of the best midfielders in his position since the move to Manchester United a few seasons ago, and a player that the Red Devils have really relied on for goals and assists.

However – with the clubs lack of silverware, the constant changing of managers and the lack of world class ability in the side, there has been alot of speculation that Fernandes could seek to leave Manchester United if he ambitions are not met by the board.

Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Carrick has opened up and revealed that the future of Bruno Fernandes will be decided at the end of the current season, He said: “We all want to win things. We all want to get better. We want to we want to improve as a team.

“We want to be successful and that’s something we’ve got to work towards together, but Bruno’s been fantastic since I’ve been here. He was fantastic when I was here before, so I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him.

“That’s not to get too far ahead, you know. That’s [his future] on the agenda a little bit, but my main agenda is getting through the game on Sunday with Fulham.

“Bruno’s fully committed. There’s absolutely no issues at all with that. Things further down the line [will be] addressed towards the end of the season or whatever. But now everything’s positive at the moment.”

Amid all the speculation and rumours, former centre-forward Teddy Sheringham exclusively told the Manchester Evening News, via BetMGM that the United board should do everything they can to keep hold of Fernandes, and that the attacker should stay: “Well, you’ve got to weigh up the situation. You’ve got to see how old he is.

“At the moment, he’s firing on all cylinders and still playing great football. I wouldn’t want to lose too many players from Manchester United who are playing at the top of their game, so he’d be one I’d like to keep.

“But again, if they get offered silly money from Saudi, then you’ve got to look at it because you can. You can revamp your team with a lot of money.

“He’s probably been the top performer over the last three years. It hasn’t been hard, let’s put it that way, because there are a lot of players underperforming.

“His stock is still very high, because he’s a top player, keeps scoring goals, and he’s leading by example on the football pitch. So I’d be looking to keep Fernandes.”
