Everton now eyeing late loan move for ‘explosive’ Champions League forward after Grealish…

Everton could be set to make a late loan move for Chelsea youngster Tyrique George, according to reports - with David Moyes keen on bolstering his firepower after some untimely news on the injury front on Merseyside, after Jack Grealish was ruled out of action for the rest of the campaign.

George has already shown that he can do it on the national and international stage, and 12 goal contributions in 37 games for Chelsea is not a bad record at all.

However, game time is vital for his development and Everton could offer Chelsea the chance to develop their academy star whilst others flourish in the capital ahead of the England youngster.

The report by The Athletic states that Everton have shown an interest in signing George on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window, as David Moyes looks to strengthen his wide ranks.

The Toffees, however, are expected to face 'significant' competition from clubs in both the Premier League and in European competition for the teenager if they are to complete a temporary switch.

George burst onto the scene at Stamford Bridge last season, playing regularly in the Conference League, scoring in the Club World Cup, and making his Premier League debut just over a year ago.

However, with just 11 games this season, the 'explosive' attacker has had limited game time and that could see him make the switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton have seen current Premier League loan star Jack Grealish ruled out of action, probably until the end of the season, and they need more from out wide if they are to at least finish in the top half, with further aspirations for Europe.

Everton Will Hope Tyrique George Can Repeat Chelsea Loan History

It's a shame that George has seen his time on the pitch this season hindered by the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens and Cole Palmer being ahead of him in the pecking order and a move to Everton could prove the right tonic.

The Toffees have had joy loaning players from Chelsea in the past. Kurt Zouma and Armando Broja have made the same switch in recent years to different levels of joy, though it was the addition of Romelu Lukaku back in 2013 that really got people talking.

The Belgian star scored 68 Premier League goals in 141 appearances for the Toffees, almost a goal per two games, and if George can produce something similar then the club will reap the rewards.
