Unai Emery has explained what he expects from **Brentford**as they travel to face Aston Villa.
The Bees continue to sting the best sides in the Premier League despite the mass exodus in the summer, and after a 1-0 victory over the Villans in August, they will bring belief into this battle.
*“They are performing fantastic. They are keeping the same mentality, the same structure, more or less tactically or individually, replacing some players, they were very important in Brentford, like Ivan Toney, like Bryan Mbeumo, like Yoane Wissa, but they are again changing those players with Igor Thiago, with Kevin Schade, with Dango Ouattara,, and they are performing very well.*
“The same like they did the last years, now they are doing, and they are in the top 8, in top 10. They are eighth in the table, top 10 and 33 points. Of course, they are performing fantastic and how they are playing, competing both, I respect them a lot.
*“And the manager is doing the same, very good job, like, Thomas Frank did before, and now he’s again, doing a good job. Tactically, I respect them a lot, because they are playing very good football. They are competing and playing very good football. They are very good in pieces. It’s Premier League and in Premier League, you must respect every team and every coach and every player.*
“Now in football, we conceded one chance against Newcastle, the first minute last week. The first chance we conceded, and Emiliano Martinez saved. The first minute, saved it fantastic. We could start losing.
*“Two weeks ago, against Everton, we conceded the first chance in the first minute. One long ball, second action, and they had chances. It means we need the minute one and minute 90 to be focused, to be organised, to play, trying to dominate with the ball, trying to be passionate, in our build-up.*
“As well, if they are pressing so high, like some teams they are doing, we must progress, maybe quick, and try to dominate different demands we will face.
“Brentford* is going to demand us. To be passing with the ball, to be clinical in our progress with the passes, try to be always organised in case we lose the ball. We will need to defend log balls, defend their build-up, to press them, get duels, be ready in the set-pieces, corners, fouls. Of course, offensively as well, try to get our corners offensively, our fouls offensively, and try to threaten them.*
“It’s football, everything, but you are planning only one way, maybe they can surprise you, and now how they are playing, we need (to) be so, so focused in everything, each minute. And this is an example, last week and two weeks ago, the first minute we conceded two chances.”
