A Leeds United star has issued an Arsenal warning.
Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu has made an honest Arsenal admission but with a warning of Whites intent ahead of Saturday afternoon’s Premier League showdown at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s Whites return to action at LS11 with Saturday afternoon’s 3pm kick-off in what represents their toughest home test yet against the division’s title favourites and leaders.
Writing in his captain’s column of the matchday programme, Ampadu admitted his men were coming up against a side with quality all over the pitch but with a warning about his side’s intent to “do everything” to protect their Elland Road “fortress”.
“Fully deserve to be in that position”
“Today, we’re coming up against the league leaders, who fully deserve to be in that position,” wrote Ampadu.
“We’re under no illusions how tough the game will be this afternoon, as Arsenal have quality all over the pitch.
“However, for ourselves, we are at home and this is our fortress and we will be doing everything we can to get a positive result.”
