‘We’ll decide’: David Moyes Says Adam Aznou Could Get Loan Move Before Deadline

The Everton boss states there is a chance Adam Aznou could spend the remainder of the season on loan.

Everton manager David Moyes has said that left-back Adam Aznou could yet depart ahead of Monday’s deadline.

The 19-year-old has made just one senior appearance since his summer move from Bayern Munch.

Indeed, Moyes has previously stated that the youngster may need to develop before being ready for Premier League football.

There have been rumours of a loan move this month, with Moyes now stating a decision will be made in the coming days.

: “There’s opportunities for him to go and we’ll decide that in the next few days.”

“I’m not sure that he would get the opportunities in the position we bought him to play, so I need to think how I can do it. At the moment we’re not really mad to let too many people go because our squad isn’t big enough.

“But sometimes players want to go and play and I’m all for that if that’s the case.”

A LOAN MOVE COULD BE GOOD FOR AZNOU’S DEVELOPMENT, BUT LEFT-BACK POSITION REMAINS A PROBLEM

Aznou made an immediate impact in his solitary appearance for the Blues, coming on as a late substitute in the FA Cup tie against Sunderland.

The young Moroccan won the penalty to take the game to extra time. Indeed, his energy and willingness to attack unsettled what was an otherwise comfortable Sunderland defence.

However, Aznou was utilised as a winger in his cameo against the Black Cats. It’s a position he can clearly play in, though we’re yet to see him in his natural role.

It’s been clear for some time that Vitalii Mykolenko is not good enough. His attitude has always been commendable, however his ability is limited to say the least.

It seems however, that Aznou will be unable to dislodge the Ukrainian for the foreseeable. Perhaps a loan move could provide the young defender with first team opportunities in the short term.

Meanwhile, The Toffees have been linked with Chelsea winger Tyrique George. The 19-year-old has scored three goals and contributed one assist in 11 games this season.
