Big change and massive Leeds United boost as Daniel Farke names Whites team vs Arsenal with…

Leeds United team news is in for this afternoon’s visit of title favourites Arsenal to Elland Road.

Daniel Farke has named his Leeds United team for this afternoon’s huge test against Premier League leaders and title favourites Arsenal at Elland Road.

In a huge boost, left back Gabi Gudmundsson returns from his adductor injury to go straight back into the side, replacing Sebastiaan Bornauw in the only change to the team.

Striker Lukas Nmecha (hamstring) and centre-back Jaka Bijol (hamstring) had already been ruled out whilst doubts surrounded both left back Gudmundsson (adductor strain) and Dan James - despite the latter having now returned to training.

James, meanwhile, returned to training this week having recovered from the hamstring tendon injury suffered in the 3-2 defeat at Manchester City at the end of November.

Farke had said the winger consequently had a chance to be selected against Arsenal but with the caveat of some mindful decisions being needed after such a long time out.

The winger is not involved as Bornauw replaces the injured Nmecha in the only change on the bench.

Leeds United vs Arsenal: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Justin, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Ampadu, Gruev, Stach; Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin. Subs: Perri, Byram, Bornauw, Longstaff, Tanaka, Buonanotte, Okafor, Gnonto, Piroe.
