Brighton ace starts vs Everton despite £20m bid from Nottingham Forest

Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari keeps his spot in centre midfield following a week of transfer speculation.

Ayari has been a key man for Fabian Hurzeler this term and scored in last week's 2-1 Premier League loss at Fulham.

This week Brighton rejected a £20m bid from Nottingham Forest for their Sweden international but he plays against Everton.

The 22-year-old, who is contracted with the Seagulls until June 2027, has made 20 Premier League appearances this term with three goals and one assist.

Ahead of the match, Hurzeler brushed aside Nottingham Forest’s bid as speculation. “I'm not going to talk about speculation,” said the German. “I really enjoy working with Yasin.

“He really enjoys working with us. I think he has made great development so far. He’s a bright player. “

Elsewhere, Bart Verbruggen retains his spot between the sticks and the back four ahead of him looks as though iut will be Ferdi Kadioglu at right, Lewis Dunk and Jan Paul van Hecke in the middle and Belgian international Maxim De Cuyper on the left.

Carlos Baleba - fresh from his encouraging display at Fulham last time out - is in the the midfield alongside the Ayari and Pascal Gross.

It then appears to be a front three consisting of Danny Welbeck, Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio.
