View from the Opposition: Dyche on whether form will play a part against Palace

“The club has done a very good job. Steve Parish has done a brilliant job there over all the years.

“There’s many people that have done a good job, but of course, the manager has to be the front of them. You take the heat, and you take the good stuff."

Forest Team News

Forest made five changes for Thursday’s Europa League win over Ferencváros from their previous Premier League game at Brentford.

Ryan Yates, Zach Abbott, James McAtee, Dan Ndoye and Morato all came into the starting XI and helped the Reds to a convincing win, meaning they could feature against Palace.

However, Dyche has confirmed that full-back Nicolas Savona is set for a spell on the sidelines.

"It’s just a settling period now, over the next five to seven days, and then I’ll make a decision on whether it needs intervention or not," the Forest boss said.

"It’s nothing too drastic, but it will keep him out for a bit of time, so we’ll know more in the next week."

Their season so far…

Dyche is the third manager of an eventful campaign at the City Ground that began with Nuno Espirito Santo in charge.

Having led Forest to European qualification last season, but following ongoing tensions with the club hierarchy, left just three games into the new season, the last of which was a 3-0 home defeat to West Ham.

In came former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou, but his spell proved to be something of a disaster.

The Australian lasted just 39 days, becoming the shortest-serving permanent Premier League manager, losing four of his five league games in charge.

That left Forest turning to former youth player Sean Dyche as the man to steady the ship.
