Beşiktaş have made an offer to Wolves to sign striker Tolu Arokodare before the end of the window.
That’s according to Fanatik. The Turkish outlet, alongside journalist Ömer Necati Albayrak, report on the bid for the Wolves striker today.
The two explain that Beşiktaş are on the hunt for a new striker after selling Tammy Abraham to Aston Villa. They want to find a goalscorer and have set their sights on the Wolves summer signing.
According to Albayrak’s information, they are in talks with Arokodare and his management about a move. They have also submitted a €15m offer to Wolves for him as well.
How both proposals have been treated so far, isn’t mentioned. It is worth remembering, though, that Wolves paid €26m for Arokodare in the summer. It seems unlikely that they would be willing to accept an €11m loss on him after just half a season.
The striker has struggled since his move in the summer, with just four goals and one assist in 22 games to date. It would, though, be strange to take such a loss at this point. It would also be strange to let him go given Jorgen Strand Larsen also appears destined to depart as well.
That would leave Rob Edwards with just Hee-Chan Hwang and Nathan Fraser as his striker options, unless someone else comes in to replace the departures.
For now, it just seems Beşiktaş have made a bid. How Arokodare and Wolves respond to it, remains to be seen.
