Everton battled right until the death against Brighton and were rewarded with a last-minute equaliser from Beto.
It wasn’t a vintage performance from Everton, but the impressive away record continues, as they’ve suffered just one defeat on the road since the middle of October.
Beto stole the headlines with a 97th-minute goal, but credit should also go to Carlos Alcaraz, who looked good off the bench.
Wow, just wow! Sum that up for us, Toffees! 🤯
Who'd have thought Beto would save the day? 🤣

David Moyes spoke to the media after the game and was quick to highlight one controversial moment from the referee Chris Kavanagh.
David Moyes hits back at Chris Kavanagh after receiving yellow card for celebrating
After Beto’s goal, Moyes left his technical area to celebrate the dramatic equaliser, but referee Chris Kavanagh was quick to show him a yellow card.
The Scotsman hit back at Kavanagh with a witty response in his post-match interview.
“We’re killing it that the managers can’t come out of their technical area to celebrate a goal, knee sliding, do things which give you people quite a bit to talk about,” Moyes stated.

“I bloody will do it again! Actually, if I’d been a bit more mobile, I might have done a knee slide.
“That would only have got me a yellow as well, so I might as well have gone the whole hog.”

David Moyes also praises Beto’s exceptional attitude
Moyes also touched on Beto in his press conference and admitted it was crucial for him to get on the score sheet for his own confidence.
“Well, he’s a great lad to work with,” the Toffees boss explained.
“He tries to make himself better every day, he really does. I’m pleased because he’s probably needed the confidence from the goal.
Beto only took 10 minutes to do what Barry couldn’t in almost 90 minutes! 🤩
There is no way Everton can now sell Beto… is there? 🫣

“I think the crowd celebration, I think they know as well, he’s a big lad who does everything he possibly can to be as good as he can be, and I’m glad he got the goal.
“He started to score all the goals for me last year around this time, so let’s hope he’s about to do that this season as well.”
Beto has been linked to Fenerbahce, and Italian giants Juventus have also been credited with a strong interest this month.
But, with three days remaining in the window, it looks as though he will be staying at Finch Farm to provide competition to Thierno Barry.
