West Ham United were dealt late heartbreak in their Premier League clash with Chelsea.
Indeed, despite a valiant performance, West Ham United lost 3-2 to Chelsea in Saturday evening’s Premier League clash.
Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville put the Hammers in dreamland at half-time, but the Blues would respond.
It’s a painful one – but who was your MOTM vs Chelsea and why?!
We can keep our heads held high 👍

Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella restored parity after the break before a late Enzo Fernandez strike condemned West Ham to defeat.
Here are five things that Hammers News learned.
Mateus Fernandes morphing into West Ham’s quarter-back
It got somewhat lost amid the drama of his brilliant goal against Sunderland, but Mateus Fernandes had played a brilliant pass in the build-up to that.
Fernandes has been excellent for West Ham recently and that continued against the Blues with another fine display.
Late heartbreak 😡 Where did it all go wrong?!

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
In the build-up to Summerville’s brilliant strike, the former Southampton midfielder played a looping long ball the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Xabi Alonso would surely have been proud of.
This looks like a new weapon in West Ham’s armoury. Fernandes can do so much going forward, but his ability to drop between the defenders and spray long balls is equally as impressive.
Crysencio Summerville joins impressive club at West Ham
Summerville’s strike at Stamford Bridge put him in some impressive company.
Indeed, the Dutchman has become only the third player to score in four successive games for the Irons in the post-Premier League era.
He joins Bowen, Jesse Lingard and Diafra Sakho in achieving that impressive feat.
West Ham’s defensive record is the worst in Europe
If West Ham are indeed relegated, it will largely be because of the awful decisions made at executive level over the last few years.
Still, another major reason as to why they could drop into the Championship for the first time in well over a decade is because of their dreadful defensive record.
No one across Europe’s major five leagues have conceded more goals than the Hammers this season. Not even Wolves, who were widely regarded as one of the worst teams in Premier League history a few weeks ago.
They have now conceded 48 goals and if one was looking for a footballing reason to explain their struggles, it has to be that.
Jean-Clair Todibo fluffs big moment
Jean-Clair Todibo has improved from a defensive standpoint in recent weeks, even if the unit as a whole is struggling.
Todibo is starting to improve at West Ham and while he’s clearly not a finisher by trade, he fluffed his big moment.

With the score at 2-2, the Frenchman missed a glaring chance to put the Irons back into the lead after Tomas Soucek pulled back a floated free-kick.
His effort, however, hit the post. The fact he was later sent off after an on-field brawl compounded matters.
West Ham’s worrying record continues and it stings
It’s not just the goals that West Ham are conceding, either.
No team in the Premier League have dropped more points from winning positions as the Hammers (18).
That is a dire statistic and another key reason why they are five points adrift from safety – which could extend to seven if Nottingham Forest win on Sunday.
The omens aren’t looking good even in spite of the recent revival. It really does sting.
