Bruno Fernandes drops Manchester United future hint on social media amid exit rumours

Bruno Fernandes has recently dropped a hint about his Manchester United future amid exit rumours.

Manchester United are currently 4th in the Premier League after wins against the top two in the Premier League, keeping the Champions League dream alive.

Michael Carrick’s side have shown in both games against Manchester City and Arsenal that not only can they win, but they can compete and go toe-to-toe with them.

However, next up is Fulham, where the pressure will be on United as opposed to the Red Devils going into games as the underdog.

This fixture will be a true test of how far United have come in the short time Carrick has been at the club.

Fernandes drops a hint on his future

This month has marked Bruno Fernandes’ sixth year as a Manchester United player. From day one, he has been the club’s best player, often being the one to stand up to pressure rather than succumb to it.

Following a dismal season for the club last season, it was reported Fernandes was close to making a switch to Al-Hilal. However, after late talks with the club, the Portuguese continued his stay at Old Trafford.

With this season shaping up to be yet another trophyless season, reports have continued to emerge regarding his future next season.

As reported recently by The Mirror, the captain is waiting till the World Cup to make his decision as well as see who the next Manchester United manager will be.

However, in a recent post celebrating his sixth year at United, Fernandes dropped a hint that his story might not be over, saying “What a J6urney so far,” also tagging United’s social media account and adding a heart emoji.

The best version of Fernandes so far?

Since joining in 2020, Fernandes’s style of play has evolved from a pure attacking midfield to an all-around midfield genius who can dictate play.

In terms of goal contributions, the Portuguese captain may not beat his 20/21 tally of 28 goals and 17 assists in all competitions, breaking Frank Lampard’s record of most goals for a Premier League midfielder in a single campaign.

However, this season has shown an overall better package as a player with his ability to switch the ball from deep, accurate passes in tight spaces to pick out players and high IQ to combine with teammates to set them up.

With his short spell out with injury in December, his presence was sorely missed as United lacked a major creative force without him.

The club will be hoping that their talisman continues beyond this season.
