Scott superb as Petrovic and Kroupi also impress at Wolves: Player ratings

A sensational Junior Kroupi half-volley gave them the halftime lead after a first 45 that lacked attacking quality besides the goal, before an Alex Scott goal set up by debutant Rayan confirmed the points at the death.

Match report and reaction:

The Daily Echo rates the Cherries players in their win at Molineux.

Djordje Petrovic: 8

Some top reaction saves from the Serbian keeper ensured the Bournemouth clean sheet stayed intact. Petrovic’s confidence looks to be building, after Christos Mandas joined on loan from Lazio to increase competition between the sticks.

Adrien Truffert: 7

The Frenchman was impressive, and looked a threat overlapping on the left. A good pass from Truffert set Rayan going for his assist for Scott’s goal.

Marcos Senesi: 7

A solid showing from Senesi and Hill at the centre of the Cherries defence – but perhaps the duo may have been punished against a more clinical side. A clean sheet to build on, though, and it was largely deserved.

James Hill: 7

As above, Hill was solid, although did give the ball to Wolves on a couple of occasions, but he was able to recover and helped the team to a clean sheet.

Adam Smith: 7

The ever-dependable Smith was, as always, dependable and solid at right back. The skipper led his side to a good three points and a good clean sheet.

Alex Scott: 9

My man of the match. The Englishman was excellent, breaking up play in midfield and bringing the ball forward for the Cherries. Very much deserved his goal and it capped off an excellent display.

Lewis Cook: 8

Alongside Scott, Cook was top, too. The English duo seem to be forming a strong partnership in the absence of Tyler Adams.

Amine Adli: 8

I thought Adli had one of his best performances in a Cherries shirt. A nice flick to Kroupi for an assist, and he looked bright in attack.

Junior Kroupi: 8

A brilliant strike to open the scoring. A superb finish that showed the Frenchman’s quality. A lot of running, too, as he continues to develop the more defensive side of his game.

Alex Jimenez: 7

The Spaniard continued his good form on the right, but at times didn’t get as much joy as he has done recently and did lose the ball on a few occasions where perhaps he shouldn’t have done. A good performance nonetheless, though.

Evanilson: 7

A quieter performance in front of goal for the Brazilian but his link up play and pressing was, as ever, excellent. He continues to be a key part of Iraola’s Cherries side.

Substitutions:

A brilliant assist on his Cherries debut. Looked exciting and every bit the talent that he has been billed as.

Ryan Christie: 7
