A round-up of the latest Premier League transfer rumours involving Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool
The winter deadline is fast approaching and Premier League clubs are running out of time to finalise any late transfers before the window slams shut.
Arsenal continue to power ahead of their competition at the top of the table but have made no new moves this window. However, they remain linked with exciting players and are expected to make significant moves in the summer if they see out this final stretch in silence.
We’ve taken a look at some of the latest Premier League transfer headlines, including Arsenal’s link with an in-demand young player.
Arsenal ‘most serious contender’ to rival PSG for midfield ace
It has been reported that Arsenal are the ‘most serious contender’ to rival Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of exciting midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.
At 18, the young France star is already attracting serious attention as clubs scramble to be the one to give him his next big move. Bouaddi currently plays for Lille and is under contract with the French side until 2029.
He is not expected to stay at Lille much longer, though. Bouaddi has Ligue 1 rivals PSG heavily interested in his signature, while Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United are also in the running.
However, Arsenal appear to be head and shoulders above that pack. According to Footmercato, Already have ‘already made a move’ for Bouaddi and he is ‘especially’ a top transfer priority for both the Gunners and PSG.
It has been reported that the teenager’s departure from Lille this summer is ‘inevitable’. Whether he opts to stay on home soil and sign for the champions or try his hand at Premier League football remains to be seen at this point.
The 3AM Verdict: The interest being shown in Bouaddi speaks for itself. With Arsenal, PSG and Real Madrid all linked with the midfielder, he is expected to have a successful future ahead of him. At just 18 years of age, Transfermarkt already value Bouaddi at €40 million (£35m).
Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool right-back rumour must ‘stop’
Fabrizio Romano has urged other outlets and reporters to ‘stop’ pushing rumours regarding Liverpool’s interest in Denzel Dumfries.
The Reds have been considering signing a new right-back this window following their latest injury setback to Jeremie Frimpong. Arne Slot has been hit with an injury nightmare and Liverpool are expected to recruit heavily for their defence in the summer.
Inter’s Dumfries has been linked with an Anfield move this window but Romano claims that this is not going to happen as the Italians will not sanction a loan exit for the player.
“Inter and Liverpool spoke, it happened on Friday. Liverpool were discussing options with Inter but Denzel Dumfries for them was never an option on a permanent transfer this window because he’s injured,” the transfer expert said on his YouTube channel.
“Inter will never [send out] the player on loan, so stop these rumours about Denzel Dumfries. It’s not something concrete, it’s not something advanced.”
The 3AM Verdict: It is looking increasingly unlikely that Liverpool will sign anyone new this window, despite the injuries that continue to impact the team. Fortunately, Frimpong’s injury is not expected to keep him out for too long but while both he and Conor Bradley are out, their defence is massively diluted.
