George was left out of Chelsea’s squad on Saturday evening, so evidently a switch to Merseyside is more than likely.

With that said, Everton News spoke exclusively to The Chelsea Chronicle journalist Jack Drury to get the lowdown on what type of player the 19-year-old is and what position he’s strongest in.

How would you describe Tyrique George?

“Tyrique George is an exciting winger who likes taking on his man, when given the chance on a regular basis,” Drury explained.

“This has been his problem at Chelsea, opportunities have been few and far between. Something that is notable about him though is that he is a really clean ball striker.”

What players would you be happy to see Everton sell before Monday’s deadline? 👋

What is his best position?

“His best position is on the left of attack. He has played in the centre forward role on occasion for Chelsea, but he doesn’t pose the physical threat to worry most Premier League defences.”

What sort of level do you think he could reach?

“He could certainly be a regular in a decent Premier League side. He is very highly thought of out of the academy, and Chelsea fans were crying to see more of him last season in particular.”

If you could bring back Richarlison or Lukaku this month, who would you go for? 👀

Rate the signing on a scale of 1-10

“On loan: 6/10 – he hasn’t played any minutes in months, and if Everton only get him for a short period of time, he is going to be in a race against time to get his sharpness up.

Permanently: “8/10 – exciting winger for the future, especially if Jack Grealish is not going to be a long-term option after this season.”
