The January transfer window closes on Monday evening so today is something of a prequel with the main event tomorrow.
We've already seen Manchester City land some major deals by signing Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi, but they are the only top six outfit to spend notable sums in the New Year.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both changed their head coach, but neither have attacked the market and are more likely do so come the summer if anything. Arsenal too have remained quiet, but have seen Ethan Nwaneri move on loan and Max Dowman sign a new deal.
Crystal Palace are in the midst of a striker merry-go-round - Jean-Philippe Mateta is closing in on a move to AC Milan for £30m, while the Eagles agreed to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves for a huge £45m plus £5m in add-ons, but that deal now hangs in the balance at the end of a chaotic month for Palace.
Mirror Football will keep you across the latest with the window almost closed.
ICYMI - Toney to reject Juve
Ivan Toney is so desperate to play for England at the World Cup this summer that he is ready to turn down Juventus to continue scoring goals in the Saudi Pro League.
Juve boss Luciano Spalletti wants to bring in a striker before Monday's transfer deadline to continue the Italian giants' run of eight wins in 11 games in all competitions.
Spalletti has the 29-year-old Toney in his sights, especially with Spurs unwilling to allow France forward Randal Kolo Muani to leave north London.
But Al-Ahli striker Toney has his own goal, and his sights are set on Thomas Tuchel's England squad after the German included him in his World Cup plans last year.

Rosenior loving Chelsea structure
Chelsea's new boss Liam Rosenior insists he's thrilled to have other people taking care of the club's transfer business despite it naturally giving him less of a say on their recruitment.
The former Strasbourg boss believes the policy at Stamford Bridge means he can focus on the squad, rather than phoning round managers and agents.
He said: "That's the beauty of being a head coach within a structure: I'm not an old-school manager that's got out the phone and is making calls. I've got the best people, I think, in world football working on those things. I probably see the last two per cent of the work they do, which allows me to focus on what I need to focus on: the team and the performance."
Newcastle reject Fulham bid
Fulham have seen a £20m offer for Joe Willock rejected by Newcastle, who will not sanction a move for their midfielder unless they find a replacement, claims Talksport.
Willock has fallen down the pecking order at St James' Park but the Magpies still don't want to leave themselves light in that department.
As a result the move could be curtailed.
Eagles stand firm on Mateta
Jean-Philippe Mateta has agreed a contract with AC Milan until 2030, but Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner will not let the striker depart unless they have a ready-made replacement, reports The Times.
Already this month the Eagles have lost Marc Guehi and Mateta has become their main source of goals, but time is running out to get someone through the door.
Carrick wants Rashford
Michael Carrick wants to bring Marcus Rashford back to Old Trafford if he ends up getting the Man Utd job on a full-time basis.
The forward is currently on a season-long loan spell with Barcelona, who have the option to sign him for £26m.
Rashford had been frozen out at Old Trafford, notably by Ruben Amorim, but the Telegraph claims that Carrick would like to have the Englishman in his squad should he stay on as manager.
