A potential new Newcastle United away kit for the 2026/27 season has been leaked and it has gone down well with Magpies fans on social media.
United will release new kits for next season later this year as they enter the third year of a multi-year sponsorship deal with Adidas that began at the start of the 2024/25 season.
A possible home kit for next season did the rounds on social media on Friday and the initial reaction from Newcastle fans was not popular. However, a potential away kit for next season has now been leaked online and it has been much better received by United supporters.
Prominent fan account 'NUFC Gallowgate' shared the images of a black kit with a bricked design which has been suggested is a tribute to the brickwork that makes up St James' Park.
One fan described it as the 'best kit in a long time, while another added: "This will be more popular than the home one doing the rounds." Another said: "First top in a while I would happily buy," while a fourth fan described the design as 'absolutely awesome'.
An announcement on next season's away kit isn't likely to come until the summer.
After announcing their partnership with Adidas back in 2023, former chief financial officer Peter Silverstone said: "We are delighted to have agreed a new multi-year partnership with adidas from summer 2024. The history and heritage between the two brands is obviously very compelling and exciting.
"This partnership will help us to deliver on our ambitious brand and commercial strategy. Importantly, it will allow us to rebuild a direct retail relationship with our current, and future, local and global fanbase. We know our fans will support us on this exciting journey."
