Everton rejected an enquiry from Juventus for striker Beto last week, journalist David Ornstein has revealed.

The Toffees are reportedly reluctant to lose the 'incredible' 28-year-old forward before the transfer window closes and would demand a significant fee to consider a sale.

Juventus are said to have explored a loan deal for Beto, who scored a stoppage-time equaliser for Everton in Saturday’s draw at Brighton, netting his fourth goal of the season.

Everton have also held internal talks over Juventus winger Edon Zhegrova, but conversations did not develop.
