Leon Goretzka is interested in a move to the Premier League, but any transfer will not now happen until the summer transfer window, with time running out in January now.
Goretzka has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, with the German international coming close to signing for the Red Devils in the past.
United first showed a keen interest in signing the midfielder way back in 2017, when he chose to make the move to Bayern Munich from Schalke instead. And rumours and links with the now 30-year-old have been regular since then.
Manchester United Can Save Millions In The Transfer Market

Goretzka will leave the Allianz Arena this summer, though, with his contract expiring and no renewal on the table. And that could open the door for United to make their move.
United will be in the market for a new midfielder, with Casemiro leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season - much like Goretzka at Bayern, at the end of his contract.
The likes of Carlos Baleba and Elliott Anderson have been linked with big-money moves, but United could save millions by signing Goretzka for nothing.
And they have been given a boost on that front, thanks to a major update from Sky in Germany.
Atletico Madrid Fail To Complete Transfer

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano did deliver an update on United's stance on Goretzka earlier this week. He said: "My understanding is that Man United will go very big for midfielders in the summer – they could sign one, maybe two, midfielders in the summer transfer window, as Casemiro is leaving.
“At the moment, I’m not aware of anything advanced for Goretzka. He’ll have many options; Atletico Madrid wanted him in this January window, and he could be back. [There are also] Italian clubs, English clubs, German clubs. Goretzka will have plenty of possibilities.”
As Romano stated there, Atletico were in talks to sign Goretzka, not in the summer, but before the January transfer window closes on Monday, February 2. But that move is now off, with Goretzka stating his desire to remain in Munich until the end of the season.

The 30-year-olf said: "As much as I’m honoured by the interest from top international clubs, I’ve made a clear decision that I want to stay with Bayern until the end of the season.
"At the same time, the club and I have decided, after good and constructive discussions, that our successful time together will come to an end this summer."
Atletico are likely to return for the midfielder in the summer, but United, should they wish to reignite their interest, would have the opportunity to complete a transfer now he is staying in Germany until the end of the season.
Tottenham have also been linked with an interest, and Sky Sports in Germany also report that Goretzka is interested in a move to the Premier League and wants to secure his future as soon as possible.
