Man United star was 'rattled' by Fulham, now he is in perfect form for redemption

Manchester United were left frustrated the last time they faced Fulham and now Michael Carrick’s side have the chance to set the record straight.

Frustratingly, Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty in the first half of the clash against Fulham, and the Portuguese playmaker went on to produce a well below-par display in London.

Fernandes was bumped by referee Chris Kavanagh before taking his spot-kick and it seemed to distract United’s captain.

United fans were disappointed in Fernandes for his display at Craven Cottage, but he has bounced back to his very best this season.

Fernandes now has five goals and 10 assists in the Premier League, and he has registered at least one assist in all three of his last matches.

Back in August, Fernandes was “rattled” against Fulham because of the penalty incident, and he reacted emotionally.

Bruno Fernandes has changed position since Fulham clash

When United drew to Fulham in August, Bruno Fernandes was playing as a central midfielder in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.

It was a decision that attracted plenty of scrutiny, as Fernandes’ attacking output was limited by pushing him further back.

Since Carrick has taken charge, though, Fernandes is back to his creative best and the numbers prove it.

United supporters can expect Fernandes to start as a No.10 or even as a false nine in Carrick’s system. In the last two matches, he has been finding pockets of space and hurting teams in the final third.

With bleak memories of that penalty miss at Craven Cottage, Fernandes has the perfect platform to put on an Old Trafford masterclass.
