Crystal Palace have submitted a £48m bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, journalist David Ornstein has revealed.
The Selhurst Park side have reportedly returned to the table for the Norway international amid reports that talks between the clubs have stalled this week.
Palace have presented a reduced offer of £43m plus £5m in add-ons for Strand Larsen, and there is a strong chance Wolves will accept the bid.
Strand Larsen could arrive as a replacement for unsettled Jean-Philippe Mateta, who is pushing to leave Palace for AC Milan ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
Palace Make Reduced Strand Larsen Bid

According to Ornstein, Palace have presented a reduced £48m bid for Strand Larsen, despite initially holding talks over a move worth around £50m.
Strand Larsen joined Wolves from La Liga side Celta Vigo in 2024 and has registered 15 goals and five assists in 57 Premier League games to date.
The 'phenomenal' 25-year-old forward has just one Premier League goal in 22 appearances this term, in a disappointing campaign for relegation-bound Wolves, who remain bottom of the table following Saturday's 2-0 loss to Bournemouth.
A £50m move for Strand Larsen would make him Palace’s record signing, surpassing the £35m spent on Brennan Johnson’s arrival earlier this month.
The Eagles have welcomed forward Evann Guessand on loan from Aston Villa this week, while former captain Marc Guehi was sold to Manchester City earlier in the window.
