Out-on-loan Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has reacted to his latest goal for Barcelona as the question marks swirl around his long-term future at the club. The England player is spending the campaign on loan with the Catalan giants, who hold a £26million option to secure his services permanently.
Nevertheless, recent speculation indicates that Michael Carrick would be eager to recall Rashford to United and reintegrate him into their first-team setup. That's should he land the managerial role al Old Trafford on a full-time basis when the campaign ends.
However, it's suggested that the player himself would prefer to stay put with Barca. His most recent social media activity hinted that might could be the case.
Rashford found the net during Barcelona's 3-1 triumph away at Elche on Saturday, netting the club's third strike of the encounter to wrap up the points. Posting on Instagram following the fixture, Rashford shared images from the match, accompanied by the message: "Good night in Elche. 10 goals in blaugrana feels good."
The strike marked Rashford's second in consecutive outings - following his effort in Wednesday night's 4-1 victory over Copenhagen in the Champions League. Prior to that clash, the England international acknowledged that he's required some time to settle into life at Barcelona.
"I think, for the front guys, we have to put as much pressure on the ball as possible, because the problem is when players have time on the ball to pick the passes and to see what our backline is doing," he told TNT Sports. "If they do have time then the backline have to adjust.
"But it's our way of playing, it brings an intensity to the game. I think when we play at this intensity it's difficult for teams to match us.
"For me it takes a little bit of learning to get used to, because you can't let them rest on the ball. And whoever is closest to the ball always has to put pressure.

"So it's a little bit different to what I'd done before. But this is the style of defence we play and when it works it's really good."
Since completing his loan switch to Barcelona during the summer, Rashford has featured in 32 matches across all competitions. He's netted 10 goals and contributed 12 assists, as well.
