Wolverhampton Wanderers have now reportedly reached a last-minute agreement to sign another reinforcement alongside Adam Armstrong.
Wolves set to agree deal for Adam Armstrong
There's been a striker merry-go-round in the Premier League as of late, and Wolves are now set to get involved. With Jorgen Strand Larsen likely to be heading to Crystal Palace, the Midlands club are set to welcome a direct replacement in Southampton's Adam Armstrong, according to recent reports.
Having his say on whether anything has changed in the Strand Larsen situation, manager Rob Edwards told reporters: "As far as I’m aware, no. Over these next few hours let’s see. He’s been focused on the here and now with us, let’s see how the next few days pan out."
The Wolves boss will be hoping that the arrival of Armstrong boosts his frontline, which struggled to make an impact against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
On the defeat, Edwards said: “We have to be more ruthless and find a way to take those chances. That’s not me coming for an individual but need to find a way to put the ball in the back of the net. We created too much not to have. I was convinced if we found an equaliser we could’ve pushed to win it. I don’t feel we deserved to lose."

Meanwhile, even after Armstrong, it doesn't look as though Wolves will be done with their January business. Reports are now indicating that they're set to sign another reinforcement before the deadline arrives on Monday night.
Wolves reach agreement to sign Angel Gomes
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have now reached an agreement to sign Angel Gomes from Marseille. The former Manchester United midfielder is set to make a return to the Premier League for the first time since arriving in 2020, with Wolves now awaiting "formal steps" to complete their move.
Gomes' reputation was on the rise when his contract was coming to an end at Lille last summer, but he's since struggled to get into Roberto De Zerbi's Marseille side on a consistent basis - starting 12 Ligue 1 games.
Now, he looks set to get the chance to prove previous praise right in the Premier League, as Wolves look to restore some pride to what has been a disastrous campaign.

Among those to praise the midfielder, former Man United youth coach Paul McGuinness went as far as to compare Gomes to Rodri - telling reporters: "Someone who has those skills to receive the ball with their back to goal to start the play and keep control.
"We've seen Rodri do it for Spain and Man City. That's one profile that we would be trying to promote within our country to try and improve. We searched within the FA to try and improve that type of midfield player. That's the type of player Angel is."
