However, on the stroke of half-time, disaster struck when Jefferson Lerma’s goal-bound header was handled on the line by Neco Williams, who saw red from the referee, Tony Harrington.
Gibbs-White was quizzed on the action of his teammate following the game, and it’s fair to say that the man who started the game wearing the armband was supportive of the Welshman.

Morgan Gibbs-White delivers Neco Williams verdict
Williams’ error of judgment didn’t really cost Forest much in the grand scheme of things, and he was clearly devastated as he walked off the pitch.
The Wales international has bailed Forest out so many times over the years since arriving in 2022 and Gibbs-White has defended his teammate after the incident.
He said on BBC Radio Nottingham: “It’s unlucky for Neco, it’s one of those things really. There is no blame on him today because he’s saved us so many times, and I think the boys battled hard in the second half to get the point.”

Gibbs-White was excellent during the game against Palace and especially when Forest went down to 10, he rolled his sleeves up and worked hard to preserve the point.
Williams will undoubtedly be back with a bang once his suspension is up and it’s obvious his teammates will support him all the way.
