Nottingham Forest are in a fight for survival this season.
Instead of battling for Champions League or Europa League places like last year, Sean Dyche's side are battling to keep their place in the Premier League.
Fortunately, while they have struggled this year, they are currently eight points off the drop zone and starting to pull further away.

Moreover, Forest have seemingly made the most of the transfer window and now look like they could land someone who'd help get even more out of recent signing Lorenzo Lucca.
Nottingham Forest target dream signing for Lucca
Forest have been one of the busier Premier League sides when it comes to transfers this month.
For example, they have seen Douglas Luiz leave the side, and both Stefan Ortega and Lucca come in.
However, with just over a day remaining until the window slams shut, the club look intent on adding more quality to the side, and could land someone who'd be an excellent signing for Lucca.

At least that is according to a recent report from journalist Ben Jacobs, who claims that Forest are still very interested in Davide Frattesi.
In fact, Jacobs has revealed that the Tricky Trees "are close to an agreement" with Inter Milan over the Italian international.
Interestingly, Jacobs claims that the move would be a loan, and not a permanent one.
Even so, Forest appears to have done well here as Frattesi is a brilliant player and someone who could help get more out of Lucca.
Why Frattesi could be a dream for Lucca
Now, there are obviously more personal reasons why Frattesi could help get the most out of Lucca, and vice versa, such as them both being Italian and coming to the Premier League from Serie A.

However, while those sorts of things are important, there are other, more quantifiable reasons why the Inter ace could help get the most out of the on-loan Napoli man.
The first is that while he's not an attacking midfielder, the 26-year-old is someone who can and does chip in with goals and assists.
For example, in 28 league appearances last season, totalling just 1210 minutes, the Rome-born star scored five goals and provided two assists.
This means that the "brilliant" midfield, as dubbed by scout Antonio Mango, averaged a goal involvement every four league games, or every 172.85 minutes.

In other words, the former Sassuolo ace is someone who could help bolster Lucca's goal and assist tallies.
Moreover, seeing as he's proven himself capable of contributing from central midfield, opposition defenders would have to keep an eye on him, which, in turn, should hopefully open up more opportunities for the striker.
Italy's Davide Frattesi in action
Finally, he has also been part of an Inter team which has won significant honours in recent years like the Italian Super Cup and of course the Scudetto.
Therefore, his know-how and ability to thrive under pressure should not only help and rub off on his compatriot, but also on the other players in Dyche's squad.
Ultimately, Frattesi would be a great signing for Forest in his own right, but the potential of him getting even more out of Lucca means he could be an excellent addition.
