Leeds United will not be signing Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves, as he completes a £48million Crystal Palace transfer.
24 hours remain in the January transfer window for Leeds, and some pressure is mounting to address key shortcomings.
After Facundo Buonanotte, Leeds have been in the market for a particular striker signing to bolster the front line.
Leeds United miss out on Jorgen Strand Larsen – £48million Crystal Palace move imminent
Jorgen Strand Larsen was the opportunity Leeds sensed during this January window.
A £40million offer signalled our intent to bring the Norwegian to Elland Road. However, Crystal Palace have since blown that out of the water to the tune of £48million.
The Eagles’ deal has since been agreed with a medical taking place on Sunday, before signing for Leeds’ relegation rivals – per David Ornstein.

How Leeds United are reacting to Jorgen Strand Larsen setback – Sky Sports
The question on fans’ lips now is how the club will respond to missing out in this long-running Strand Larsen saga.
Well, Sky Sports’ Zinny Boswell reports that a new striker signing as an alternative to the 25-year-old is unlikely.
A deadline day arrival at Elland Road is not ruled out, however:
Striker signing unlikely for Leeds United after Crystal Palace's Jorgen Strand Larsen bid accepted. However, a late arrival at #LUFC is not being ruled out at this stage. Window shuts at 7pm on Monday. https://t.co/cUReNjUKfJ

Who the club could target this late in the day remains to be seen.
Beyond a striker, the club might have to consider a new goalkeeper amid concerns over both Lucas Perri and Karl Darlow. A left-sided defender might be viable too with Gabriel Gudmundsson heavily relied on. That’s top of Pascal Struijk’s historic injury problems and Jaka Bijol currently out.
