Every word Keith Andrews said on Villa win, VAR decision and more

"Yeah, obviously a game, two different halves for obvious reasons. Yeah, second half the way we approached it and had to dig in, dig deep really, knowing what would come. Invariably, it's difficult enough to play against Aston Villa when you've got 11 men because they can play with such control and they're an elite team. They're going for it, they're in the title race so that pretty much says it all.

"And the individuals that they have, that when you don't get things right, and the moments that they're capable of, they can be deadly. So to say that performance was pleasing would be an understatement. It's just immense pride in what the players produced today and the group as a whole produced."

Kevin Schade red card

"I think it's a red card. Yeah, I didn't see it at the time. I didn't see the angle properly, but once I've seen it back, it's pretty, yeah, I can understand this given why it's given.

So, yeah, it's just something we need to learn from really. We're a young group, we're always growing and developing. They're not robots. They're human beings. They'll make mistakes. Kevin knows that. So, yeah, no other complaints.

VAR decision [Tammy Abraham's disallowed goal?]

"Obviously couldn't see live for obvious reasons. Goal goes in, it's the same of checking it. I think it took about four minutes if that's about right. If they come up with the right decision, especially when it's a decision that goes our way, then I'm always in favour of it.

But I can understand the frustrations of fans and people looking at the game that it takes this thing out of it. Yeah, was it out? It looked out, I haven't seen conclusive proof. I've just seen it a couple of angles back of it. It hasn't been my main concern, to be honest."

Becoming the first team to end Villa's 100% league record after Europa League games?

"Yeah, I was aware of the record post-Europa League games. I'm very aware of them as a team and Unai [Emery] as a coach. Someone I've got a lot of respect for in terms of how he sets a team with the experience he has, the way they play the game.

"If you don't get your out of possession structure right, they can really, really hurt you. The manner of the victory, obviously we're going on to 10-men and you're right, how difficult the place this is to come to, it makes it a pretty special result.
