Crystal Palace have now reportedly been offered the chance to sign an international midfielder after their move for Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Strand Larsen set to undergo Crystal Palace medical
It's not been an easy deal to get over the line, but Crystal Palace are now set to welcome Strand Larsen from Wolverhampton Wanderers after striking an agreement worth around £45m, plus add-ons.
The Norwegian is set to undergo a medical at the South London club and will become a direct replacement for Jean Philippe-Mateta, who is reportedly set to join AC Milan before Monday's deadline.
Strand Larsen will be welcomed with open arms by Oliver Glasner following a torrid month of results, which didn't get any better against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
After being forced to come from behind to rescue a point against a struggling Forest side, Glasner told reporters: "Everyone can contribute. Everyone who plays in the attack can contribute.
"We need the set plays; we are really good at set plays again, like we were last year. Let's see, I don't know what will happen. We need a striker who scores goals. Mateta is our top scorer.

Crystal Palace late frontrunners to sign a bigger talent than Strand Larsen
Crystal Palace have started work on a deal to land a star who's better than Jorgen Strand Larsen.
"The players deserve my full focus and it's challenging for everyone when you have such a tight squad. It was pretty clear that we need great togetherness here."
Whether Palace will be done with their business after Strand Larsen remains the question, however. There's still just over a day left until the window slams shut and recent reports suggest they could have the chance to add one more name.
Crystal Palace offered chance to sign Kodai Sano
As reported by the Mirror's Ryan Taylor, Crystal Palace have now been offered the chance to sign Kodai Sano. The Eagles were reportedly offered the NEC midfielder by Jorge Mendes whilst talks were taking place for their deal to sign Strand Larsen.
For the time being, it looks as though Palace aren't set to grab a second of Mendes' clients, but Sano could certainly be one to watch ahead of Monday.
Dubbed an "exciting Japanese youngster" by talent scout Jacek Kulig in 2024, Sano has only reached new levels since and is now an international for his country.

At 22 years old, he could still get his move this window even if it's not Palace who make their move, with Ajax the reported favourites to secure his signature.
