A significant update has been provided on rumours linking Bruno Fernandes to Real Madrid

It has even been rumoured that Fernandes is keen to move on from Old Trafford and has offered himself up to the Spanish powerhouses. However, Romano has firmly shut down these claims, reporting that such a move is ‘absolutely not happening’.

Fabrizio Romano says Bruno Fernandes rumour is ‘completely fake’

Speaking in his latest video on his YouTube channel, Romano has addressed the recent bombshell rumours and dismissed them as ‘completely fake’.

“There were some reports around on Bruno Fernandes offering himself to Real Madrid. Forget about that. Not true. This is not happening. Absolutely not happening,” the transfer expert said.

“Why? Because Bruno never offered himself to Real Madrid. That story was completely fake. So, Bruno is fully focused on United. Nothing is happening in January. Then in the summer we will see because I am sure from Saudi they will return for Bruno Fernandes.

“But let’s see because at the moment Bruno is not entertaining conversations. It’s just interest from Saudi, but Bruno’s focus is completely on Manchester United.”

Man United fans will be pleased with Bruno Fernandes latest

Man United would prefer to keep Fernandes on their books rather than see him leave the club this year, whether that be this month or in the summer. A large chunk of the fanbase also feel the same and are eager to see the club commit to keeping their captain at the club.

Earlier this month, supporters took to social media to express their thoughts on Fernandes’ exit rumours. Plenty were actively urging their captain to stay while many backed him to become a United legend if his tenure in red continues.

Romano continued in his update, addressing interest shown in Fernandes by Saudi Arabia: “They didn’t send any fresh proposal and Bruno already said no several times.

“So, in the summer, we will see if they will return, but with Real Madrid, Bruno never offered himself to Real Madrid. Trust me, I don’t know where this story was coming from, but it’s not happening.”
