After a tough few weeks, Arsenal got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta's side had the tough task of facing Leeds United at Elland Road, but unlike some of their rivals, they never really looked under pressure and came away 4-0 winners.
The only negative to come out of the encounter was that Bukayo Saka came off injured in the warm-up, and it is still unclear how long he will be out for.
saka
The Hale End icon might not be in the best of form this season, but he's still the club's best attacker, so fans should be excited about reports linking Arsenal with a sensational striker who'd help get him firing again.
Arsenal target dream signing for Saka
Given the massive amount of money Arsenal spent in the summer, it's not been a surprise to see them take a step back and sit the winter window out.
However, just because the Gunners have refrained from bringing anyone in this month, that doesn't mean that they aren't looking ahead to the summer window.
In fact, it now looks like the club have set their sights on a world-class striker who'd not only make the number nine position his own, but also help get more out of Saka.
Saka
At least that is according to a recent report from Spanish outlet Sport, which claims Arsenal are still very interested in Julian Alvarez.
The report goes further than that, though, revealing that the Gunners believe that including a first-team player in an offer could give them an advantage over rivals.
Interestingly, the two players mentioned in the story are Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, who have been mooted for moves away from the Emirates several times over the last year or so.
It could be a complicated and costly transfer to get over the line, especially as he's been valued as highly as £80m in recent weeks.
Why Alvarez would be a dream signing for Saka
It might sound simplistic, and that's probably because it is, but the first and most important reason Alvarez would get Saka firing at Arsenal is the fact that he's an output machine.

For example, in his first campaign with Atlético last season, he racked up an outlandish tally of 29 goals and eight assists in just 57 appearances, totalling 3967 minutes.
That came out to an out-of-this-world average of a goal involvement every 1.54 games, or more impressively, every 107.21 minutes.
This season, even though he has struggled somewhat, the Argentine international has still scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 30 appearances, totalling 2297 minutes.
That comes out to a still reasonable average of a goal involvement every 1.87 games, or one every 143.56 minutes.

In other words, even when he's not at his very best, the 26-year-old is a reliable source of goals and assists.
Therefore, whether it's putting chances away or creating them for others, Saka would be able to play alongside the 49-capped star and know that he's going to be where he needs to be.

Furthermore, even if he wasn't directly involved in a goal, the Calchín-born dynamo's presence on the pitch would force defenders to leave more space for the Gunners' other attackers to exploit.
Finally, there would be no questions over whether he could do it in the Premier League.
After all, in two seasons for Manchester City, he scored 36 goals and provided 19 assists in 103 appearances, totalling 6007 minutes.
That means the prolific "monster," as dubbed by Argentine journalist Pablo Gonzalez, averaged a goal involvement every 1.87 games, or every 109.21 minutes.

Ultimately, it's unlikely to be an easy deal to get over the line, but given Alvarez's immense ability and the fact that he could supercharge Saka, Arsenal have to go all out to get him in the summer.
