Leeds United have now reportedly joined a Premier League race to sign a Real Madrid wonderkid, who just scored a hat-trick.
Farke: Leeds "full of belief" despite Arsenal thrashing
It's been a positive couple of months for those at Elland Road, who have moved clear of the relegation zone for the time being in the Premier League. But victory over league leaders Arsenal was a step too far. The Gunners were a different class to the Whites on the day, easing to a 4-0 victory.
Despite a humbling defeat, however, Daniel Farke remained in good spirits at full-time and told reporters: "We have put in some good performances and (are) full of belief, as we should be.
“Even though this game has gone the way it has, we still have full belief in each other. We have got to put this one to bed now, learn from the mistakes. I believe when you play against top teams, you have to say that they have got a lot of quality.”
It's a tough run for those in Yorkshire in the coming weeks. After Arsenal, they're set to play Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa in three of their next four games.
That tough run doesn't phase Farke, though, who said earlier this week: "Yes, it’s a tough run of fixtures to be honest. But we’ve already had a few tough runs and during those periods, a bit surprisingly perhaps, we have collected many points.
"We had surprising results against Liverpool, for example, or against Chelsea and we came pretty close to a surprising point (against Manchester City) at the Etihad and for that we are not scared anyhow."
It seems as though Leeds aren't afraid to ruffle some feathers in the transfer market either, and that could see them land one of the most surprising moves of the year.
Leeds join race to sign Endrick
According to reports in Spain, Leeds have now joined the race to sign Endrick from Real Madrid in the summer.
The Whites are unexpectedly tracking the young Brazilian, who has been on fire since joining Lyon on loan in the January transfer window and even scored a hat-trick against FC Metz last week.
Leeds are, of course, not the only Premier League side interested in the in-form star. Alongside them, Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland have formed a shock race to secure his signature, with the Lilywhites hoping to sign a game-changer for Thomas Frank when the summer arrives.

Dubbed "brilliant" by talent scout Jacek Kulig earlier this month, Endrick would take Leeds to new heights. In many ways, he would be their biggest star since Raphinha. Whether the 49ers have the pull power to make a deal happen remains to be seen, however.
