Frida Maanum has been named the Player of the Tournament for our successful FIFA Women's Champions Cup campaign.
We won the tournament with a dramatic 3-2 victory over South American champions Corinthians, with Frida setting up the winning goal for Caitlin Foord in extra time.
Our Norwegian midfielder scored an outstanding volley in our semi-final against AS FAR to double our early advantage, before we went on to beat the African Champions 6-0 at the Brentford Community Stadium.
After starting the final against Corinthians on the bench, Frida was introduced at half-time at Emirates Stadium, coming on in place of Stina Blackstenius.
With the game level towards the end of the first half of extra-time, our no.12 set up what proved to be the winner, playing an outstanding through ball into Foord, who fired into the near post to put us ahead.
After our initial celebrations at the full-time whistle, Frida was presented with her award by our legendary former manager Arsene Wenger, who returned to Emirates Stadium to witness our historic triumph.
