Multiple outlets in Italy are reporting that Fiorentina full-back Robin Gosens has decided to stay on with La Viola to help with their relegation scrap rather than joining Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Gosens rejects Nottingham Forest and sticks with Fiorentina
Reports on Sunday claimed that Nottingham Forest had opened discussions over a potential last-minute move for the former Atalanta and Inter wideman 18 months into his Fiorentina stay.
However, according to reports fromGianluca Di Marzio, Fabrizio Romano andGianluigi Longari, Gosens has rejected the Nottingham Forest approach as he has no intention of leaving Fiorentina at this stage of the season, despite their being locked into a relegation dogfight in Serie A.

The Viola endured a dreadful start to the 2025-26 campaign, which saw them drop to the bottom of the Serie A table before Christmas. They did not win their first match in Serie A until December 21.
Paolo Vanoli’s side are still in the relegation zone despite an upturn in form at the beginning of 2026. They remain in 18th place with 17 points from 23 matches so far this term.
