Transfer deadline day is upon us and just hours remain for Manchester United to conduct any business. The Red Devils will be required to wrap up any final business by 7pm tonight.
Michael Carrick has almost dispelled the notion of needing any reinforcements with a perfect start to life in charge at Old Trafford. United earned a dramatic victory over Fulham to continue their winning streak.
With only the Premier League to focus on, the next hours may see more activity out of Old Trafford than in. But the summer saw a late push to sign Conor Gallagher on loan, so perhaps United will be on the lookout for any last-minute opportunities.
The club still have a new boss to sign in the summer, and Jason Wilcox will certainly face a stiff task of landing targets then amidst World Cup fever.
Loan approach
Rotherham are planning to make a loan offer for Manchester United forward Gabriele Biancheri before the transfer deadline, per Football League World. The South Yorkshire side already have United youngster Dan Gore in his second spell on loan at the club.
The Millers are now eyeing Biancheri, who is eligible to represent Wales, Italy and Canada at international level. The 19-year-old forward signed for the Red Devils in 2023 from Cardiff and scored 12 goals in the under-18's Premier League in 2023/24, before scoring 22 times across under-18's and under-21's competitions last term.
Rotherham want a versatile forward and believe Biancheri fits the bill, having notched five goals and three assists in 10 Premier League 2 games this season.

Cole Palmer valuation
A world record transfer fee would be required to prise Cole Palmer away from Chelsea, according to reports. The Blues star has struggled with injury this term but cemented himself as the club's talisman in his first two seasons at the club.
Chelsea signed Palmer for around £40million from Manchester City and would need an outrageous fee to part ways with the England international. Manchester United have been linked to the talent but would likely baulk at a fee in excess of the £200m Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar.
Palmer currently has no plans to leave Chelsea and is said to be happy to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Two midfielders wanted
Manchester United will make a 'very strong' move for midfielders in the summer. The position has been a priority for the club since the summer, and with Casemiro's exit confirmed, United will need to add to their options, regardless of who ends up in charge.
Fabrizio Romano claims the club could even move for two new midfielders to bolster its ranks. United have been linked to Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton and Joao Gomes, and none are likely to arrive cheaply in the summer.
Leon Goretzka will be available for free come the summer, and United have been credited with interest. Romano claims that nothing is 'advanced' for the German amid United's push for midfielders.
