Alongside Armstrong and Gomes: Wolves submit £8m offer to sign striker on deadline day

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an £8m offer for Torino striker Che Adams on transfer deadline day, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Molineux side are reportedly looking to bolster Rob Edwards’ attacking options further, following an agreement to sign Adam Armstrong from Southampton.

Adams is believed to be keen on a return to England after 18 months in Italy with Torino, for whom he has scored six goals in 25 appearances this season.

Wolves are also expected to announce Angel Gomes’ arrival on loan from Marseille on deadline day, with the former Manchester United midfielder set to join on loan with an option to buy.

According to O’Rourke, Wolves have presented an £8m offer for Adams as they look to bring in another striker alongside Armstrong.

Wolves are on the lookout for late reinforcements up front following their agreement to sell Jorgen Strand Larsen to Crystal Palace.

The Molineux side have reportedly accepted a bid worth £48m for the Norway international, who is set to replace AC Milan-bound Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Strand Larsen has scored only once in 22 Premier League appearances for Wolves this season, after netting 14 times in his first year in the West Midlands.

Adams, meanwhile, could seal a return to English football after 18 months, having left Southampton on a free transfer to join Torino.
