Sky Sports: Leeds could make deadline-busting signing after Strand Larsen snub

Leeds United may not have landed their top transfer window target in Jorgen Strand Larsen after repeated efforts to secure his services - but new additions have not been ruled out with little under 12 hours to go in the transfer market.

Leeds had a busy summer window, and although it took them a few months to get going, the west Yorkshire club have hit a strong period of form in the Premier League which has propelled them a long way clear of safety in the Premier League table.

And with that in mind, the Whites could still make something of their window, according to Sky Sports - with new incomings not out of the question just yet.

Sky Sports: Leeds Additions 'Not Ruled Out' Ahead of Looming Deadline

The report by Sky Sports journalist Zinny Boswell on X (formerly Twitter) states that a striker signing is 'unlikely' for Leeds United, especially with Crystal Palace having had a bid accepted for Wolverhampton Wanderers' Norwegian striker, Strand Larsen.

However, that isn't to say that any late arrivals are being ruled out at Elland Road at this stage. The Whites could still bring somebody in, especially with the window being open until 7pm on Monday evening.

Daniel Farke has got a lot from his squad in recent months, losing just twice in the Premier League since the start of December, and that has put them six points clear of relegation heading into the final few hours of the window.

Strand Larsen Alternative: Leeds Now Hold Talks to Sign ‘Phenomenal’ Striker

Leeds United have held talks with intermediaries over a stunning deal to sign a 'phenomenal' striker this month instead of Jorgen Strand Larsen.

However, it's no surprise that the German gaffer will want fresh faces through the door to give himself the best chance possible of securing survival to buck the trend of promoted teams heading straight back down.

The Whites have loaned Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton, whilst Jack Harrison has temporarily left the club for Fiorentina in a slight change-up on the flanks - but backup for Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be sought-after.
