Leeds United are keeping close tabs on Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips on transfer deadline day, according to reports.
The Elland Road side could look for a reunion with the England international in the next few hours of the winter window, with Man City open to letting Phillips leave before Monday’s deadline.
Pep Guardiola’s side are reportedly willing to open negotiations at around £10m, and there is an expectation the fee could drop further if it helps facilitate a permanent move.
Phillips’ salary remains a stumbling block for interested clubs, with the midfielder earning around £160,000 per week.

According to CaughtOffside, two Premier League clubs have emerged as leading contenders to sign Phillips today, with both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley seriously considering moves.
Wolves are reportedly interested in signing the midfielder on a loan deal that would include an option to buy, while Burnley are the only club willing to guarantee Phillips a regular starting role.
Everton and Leeds are believed to be keeping a close eye on developments but are waiting to see whether Man City soften their stance further before launching a pursuit.
Phillips has yet to feature in the Premier League under Pep Guardiola this season, with his only appearance coming off the bench in a League Cup third-round win over Huddersfield in September.
The 30-year-old, who is believed to be keen on a move to Leeds, spent last season on loan at Ipswich Town, where he made 21 appearances and scored once.
