Tottenham are being linked with a loan move for a Real Madrid talent ahead of the deadline.

Tottenham are said to be interested in a deadline day deal for a Real Madrid star. Spurs picked up a big point on Sunday after coming from behind to draw with Manchester City thanks to a Dominic Solanke brace, perhaps easing the pressure on Thomas Frank a little.

But the result will not hide Tottenham’s need for new signings on deadline day after a disappointing window so far. Spurs may have signed Conor Gallagher, but given the injuries they have, they are arguably a weaker squad than when they started the window, with Brennan Johnson having also been sold.

Spurs are now racing the deadline to wrap up a deal or two, and according to Fichajes, Tottenham are in the mix to sign Real Madrid starlet Endrick for the rest of the season.

Leeds United and Sunderland have also been linked with the striker who has struggled for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu and then ay loan club Lyon. For normal 19-year-olds, that would come as no surprise, but the Brazilian youngster has been tipped to become one of the world’s best.

Endrick made 23 league appearances for Real Madrid prior to his loan move to Lyon, but after making just two league appearances in the first half or so of the season, it’s now being reported that Real Madrid are willing to recall the forward and send him elsewhere to ensure he is developing with regular game time.

The 14-time Brazil senior international looks to be available ahead of the deadline, but Tottenham must consider whether he is able to make an impact now given his struggles at Lyon. Spurs need players who are going to contribute immediately at this stage of the season.

Ancelotti praise

Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti once described Endrick as ‘spectacular’, saying: “He is spectacular. He has these amazing characteristics he has shown whenever he has a chance. His accuracy is off the charts, he's quick and he still has a lot to improve with the ball.

"But, wow, his dribbling, his runs... the shot he has... he could even score a second goal easily with that great strike off the post... He is just spectacular. Very young, but a very fast learner."
